We Moved

Good afternoon, on my fifth week of MTC here, I'll probably be flying out in just about two weeks. Ive been on a mission for over a month now, this is like day thirty three or something it's kinda weird cuz it doesn't really feel like it but I guess 23 more months to go if were counting.

So last week was pretty good I suppose the days just kinda mesh together but I'll try and do my best to recall what happened in the past week.

On Thursday we went to the temple which was pretty nice cuz we were there for most of the evening so That was nice. But let me tell you somethin about the driving in Mexico. I swear the laws of physics don't work on the roads here there has to be some forcefield barrier around all the cars that prevents them from getting in car accidents multiple times a day like I swear traffic is just broken but it somehow works I don't understand you can be like within an inch of another bus and not even be worried about it like I don't understand the deal with it all.

Friday was regular except the evening time. At like 4:40 so like 20 minutes before the end of our last class we were just finishing up preparing the lesson we usually give for practice on Friday evenings when all the elders in the district get an urgent email saying come to our house and move all our stuff from house 23 to house 17 before 5:30. So after all we ended up not teaching our practice lesson (which I wasn't too bummed about) cuz we were busy moving all our big suitcases that we had very quickly tossed our stuff into and bringing them down the street so we could put all our stuff in our new house. So that was an eventful evening especially cuz in the email they said to pick up our new keys at the reception desk but they didn't actually have them for us until like 9:15 that evening. The only reason we were able to get into the house in the first place is cuz one of the zone leaders had a master key and opened all the doors in the house. We weren't even sure why exactly we had to move I think it was either the gas line or water line had some sort of deal with them but I don't really know.

Saturday was regular and Sunday was a pretty typical Sunday as well. My companion gave like a one minute talk that was supposed to be five minutes in church and I kinda got a chuckle out of that. In the evening time we saw an old prerecorded devotional by Jeffrey R. Holland to the MTC from a long time I'm sure if you’ve been on a, mission in the past like 10 years you've seen it but it was quite good I enjoyed it. My branch president got released after like 4 years of serving so I guess that was sentimental for the people that served with him for a, long time.

Also one of my teachers had her last day yesterday so i guess, there are a, lot of people leaving here. Also on like Tuesday, and yesterday there were a bunch of fireworks during the day time and morning so I guess that's cool. I can't really remember what else happened this week cuz the days are all the same if I haven't mentioned it already. The food still sucks and I'm just getting more tired of it at this point.

This morning we we got back from the temple I like the temple trips cuz we get to leave the CCM and get to experience the glitched driving experience to get there and back.

Well I think that's about all I have to say for today. Turn on a football game some time it's healthy for you.

Bye

American Day

Goood morning, how's it going on this bright summer morning? This week other than the holiday was pretty normal so this email won't be too long.  Monday we had a regular p day and some lessons in the evening. On Wednesday we did an exchange with the other elders here in town it was just for the day but it went good we had some really cool lessons with some of the people we just started teaching not too long ago one of them was at the church with our branch president there as well. We also knocked into some people who invited us in and gave us a Mexican treat it was like an ice cream cone lookin thing filled with Carmel and a pecan or something it was kinda good. On Thursday we had a pretty normal day it rained super hard in the morning. In the evening we went up to Lovington and had a lesson with one of the people who's been coming to church.  On Friday we had ...

The Wild East

Goood morning how are all of us today? Here we are again another week to write another letter. This week was somewhat eventful so here's a brief explanation for some of the events.  On Monday evening some other missionaries came into town to a mini exchange here in Hobbs but we were both working in our area. We knocked doors the whole evening and met some interesting people. Tuesday was pretty normal, we had district council then did our singing service then later in the day we went and did English class. After that we visited some members who are pretty cool then we had a lesson with someone who we just started teaching again. Wednesday was pretty long we mostly just knocked the whole day and visited some people we also visited another member and had a short message with them. On Thursday we had a couple more lessons which was good. We had a lesson with one of the referrals we got and he's actually pretty cool he's really wanting to come to church and learn more and all t...

It is well

Goood morning gentlemen and ladies. I suppose a letter is due seeing that this is in fact my last week in the mission field. It's been pretty awesome being out here and definitely the best decision I ever made up until now—is serving a mission. I don't really got too many profound spiritual things to say here so might as well give a little recap.  It's been really great being here in Hobbs and all the other areas meeting all the people specifically the Spanish ones. This last week we met with lots of cool people and taught them. On Monday we met with our friend Mario who's on baptismal date and he's doing well. We talked about the plan of salvation and he said an epic prayer at the end. We also met with 2 other people were teaching who are doing really well and we talked with them about baptism. Tuesday was also good we had a lesson in the afternoon and then English class and some other lessons and stuff On Wednesday we had an exchange with the other elders here in ...
