The Wild East

Goood morning how are all of us today? Here we are again another week to write another letter. This week was somewhat eventful so here's a brief explanation for some of the events.  On Monday evening some other missionaries came into town to a mini exchange here in Hobbs but we were both working in our area. We knocked doors the whole evening and met some interesting people. Tuesday was pretty normal, we had district council then did our singing service then later in the day we went and did English class. After that we visited some members who are pretty cool then we had a lesson with someone who we just started teaching again. Wednesday was pretty long we mostly just knocked the whole day and visited some people we also visited another member and had a short message with them. On Thursday we had a couple more lessons which was good. We had a lesson with one of the referrals we got and he's actually pretty cool he's really wanting to come to church and learn more and all t...

The Sting

Good morning how are we all doing? This was my first full week here again as a New Mexican so of course very exiting stuff happening.  There was an interesting start to the week on Monday evening. When we were outside knocking doors, I felt some well timed bug or something fly right into my mouth and bit the inside of my cheek and it swelled up for the rest of the day and all of the next day, so that was a fun start. But also on Monday after that we visited a member who was super cool we got a cool testimony from him to share with someone we are teaching. On Tuesday we had the regular district meeting in the morning, then went after lunch to do service at a retirement home where we sung songs to the people there—it was kinda fun because I got to play the piano. We had some visits and lessons in the afternoon, then in the evening we had english class, it’s kinda fun doing that again.  On Wednesday we did a ton of finding and also had some cool lessons and contacts but pre...

Brand New Mexico

Good morning everyone welcome back to the enchanting land of New Mexico — how are we all doing? This week we had transfers so everyone got switched up and I found myself over here. This week started on Monday we had a few visits and said bye to some members, then we went and visited someone whose been taught for years and his fam and they fed us tostadas and soup so that was pretty sick. On Tuesday we had a similar day we went down to Canyon in the morning then we came back up and visited our recent converts and I packed up to move. Then Wednesday was moving day we drove up pretty early to Lubbock then I came down from there to Hobbs and got settled in by the afternoon. It seems like a good town, kinda big compared to some of the other towns I've been in, maybe just a little bigger than Clovis. There's a lot of Spanish here probably a bit more than in Hereford. On Wednesday evening we visited some people and members we have. Thursday was the first full day we knocked doors and...

Last Stop???

Good morning folks how are we all this week? Last week we got transfer news it was my last week here in Hereford this week I'll get headed off to the great metropolis of Hobbs New Mexico to maybe finish it off, but who honestly knows. This last week was pretty good solid week. On Monday and Tuesday we had a trio we had one of the elders in Canyon with us we taught a few lessons and had a real good time. Tuesday was pretty similar to Monday. On Wednesday we had interviews with the president then we came back and had a few lessons, we kinda had a lesson with a cool guy we found the week before, he's cool and apparently we showed up at the time he needed what we share in his life. We tried having a lesson with him but his drunk buddy showed up and kinda messed it up but that's ok—it was kinda goofy.  On Thursday we had a pretty good amount of lessons we met a few new people and then in the evening we had a lesson with our recent convert Roque and his kids who often go to churc...
