It is well

Goood morning gentlemen and ladies. I suppose a letter is due seeing that this is in fact my last week in the mission field. It's been pretty awesome being out here and definitely the best decision I ever made up until now—is serving a mission. I don't really got too many profound spiritual things to say here so might as well give a little recap.  It's been really great being here in Hobbs and all the other areas meeting all the people specifically the Spanish ones. This last week we met with lots of cool people and taught them. On Monday we met with our friend Mario who's on baptismal date and he's doing well. We talked about the plan of salvation and he said an epic prayer at the end. We also met with 2 other people were teaching who are doing really well and we talked with them about baptism. Tuesday was also good we had a lesson in the afternoon and then English class and some other lessons and stuff On Wednesday we had an exchange with the other elders here in ...

I'll Fly Away

Good morning! I hope it has fabulous week this past week for us all. This week was a pretty good week for us in Hobbs with all the stuff. On Monday evening we met with someone we've been teaching named Manuel who's been doing really well. We’ve been talking him for a month or two and it's been cool to see him progress and he said that his life changed after we started talking with him. We had a standard day for Tuesday. We taught the English class because the member who usually is there was busy but it was good. Then we had a lesson with Rene who we've been teaching almost the whole time I've been here and we gave him a baptismal date for the end of October and it was pretty cool also to work with him and help him over the months. We also stopped someone were talking with named Guillermo who was playing a bunch of music in a band with his buddies so we got a little concert from them. On Wednesday we went up to Lubbock for nearly the whole day for mission tour with a...

Today's Forecast Calls for Blue Skies

Goood morning. How are we all? It has certainly been an excellent week as for always for us here in the Hobbs. I suppose I'll inform us all about what has been bumping in this new transfer this week.  On Monday we met with someone we have been teaching named Manuel who's been really cool he's been investigating the Church for a couple weeks since we met him and he's been doing real well also it turns out he's a cousin to one of the members in our branch which was a twist as well. On Tuesday we had a normal day with district council and English class. We also had a lesson with Rene he's doing really well and getting pretty close to baptism. On Wednesday we had an exchange with the other Hobbs elders and we had some good lessons. We've been meeting a lot with some people who have been progressing pretty nicely which has been good.  On Thursday we had a calmer day but in the evening we met with Manuel again and had some other lessons. On Friday we did lots of f...

W Week

Good morning how are all of us doing? This week was pretty good and eventful—somewhat of a Hobbs W you could say. We had some cool lessons and things happen and stuff. The week started out a little slower on Monday we had a pretty standard P-day and were all over town making visits and talking to people. On Tuesday we had district council and English class and we also had a lesson after with someone we just found who's interested in learning more. On Wednesday we had an exchange and I went up to Lubbock. This was the first time that I've been to Lubbock to do missionary work it was pretty cool being up there. We did lots of visits and had some lessons. Back in hobbs they had a lesson with someone we've been teaching and gave her a date for baptism also. Thursday I came back to Hobbs and we had a lot of cool lessons that day. We met with one of the people who's been taught in the past about baptism and he said he's wanting to get baptized in the future as well so th...

When the Rain Comes

Happy morning how are we all? Here we had another week in Hobbs, New Mexico. It was pretty normal but might as well write a couple things that happened. Transfers were this week but it was quite calm sense neither of us changed areas We had a normal Monday pretty calm evening as far as missionary work just did some visits and calls. On Tuesday we had our Tuesday activities like district council and English class and then we knocked a bunch of doors.  Wednesday was a bit more eventful, we drove up to Lovington that afternoon which is about 20 minutes away from Hobbs and we had a bunch of lessons up there. We had some cool lesson with people we haven't been able to teach before but one of them ended up coming to church.  On Thursday we did a lot of finding and contacts and we met some cool people. Then in the evening we went to have a lesson with a member who's been coming back to church recently and when we got there he had brought his friend to have a lesson with him—so ...

We Back!

Goood morning, welcome back to Hobbs, NM where Elder Rivera is still residing. We got transfer news this week but there's no change to my companionship so this'll be an easier transfer week. We had a pretty normal week this last week so here are some pretty unexciting details. On Monday we went up to Lubbock for P-day and I saw a member from the ward in Midland that I used to be in so it was pretty cool seeing him. On the way back to Hobbs it also rained super hard that we could hardly see in some parts. On Monday evening we had a lesson and talked with a few other people. Tuesday we had an exchange with some of the elders in Lubbock. I was here with one of them the day was full of stuff like English class and service and meetings and stuff but we had one lesson and were able to talk to and meet some other people. On Wednesday we did a decent amount of knocking doors and we met a couple of new people to teach and some other lessons. Thursday was pretty similar nothing to crazy...
