I Didn't Know Mormons Were Real

Goood morning, how are we all today? How was our Christmas for everyone? Its been quite a season for us here in Midland, TX. This week was a little bit calm cuz Christmas and people are gone, but I suppose we can do a recap of some sorts today.  At the beginning of the week so Monday, we had an idea to give away a bunch of Light the World cards at this place in the center of town with a heck ton of Christmas lights over all the trees and there's a big Christmas tree in the middle and anyway there were a lot of texans there and we talked to a lot of people—it was eventful.  Tuesday was Christmas Eve. In the afternoon we made some cookies and gave them to out friends around town and had dinner with the bishop also. The next day was Christmas. It was a calm day made some lasagna and stuff, we brought some to a member who was working that day and then we had dinner with a member. It was a calm day also.  The next day was normal we had a couple of lessons with some newer peop...

Good morning folks, here we are to talk about another week in the life of Elder Rivera. This week was eventful enough, we found out what’s happening on transfers but I guess you'll have to wait until the end sorry folks. Monday evening and Tuesday were pretty normal, we had a few lessons one was with a member who were giving the lessons to again who we taught and we gave him some Book of Mormons to share and then yesterday he brought two new people to church so that was cool. On Wednesday we found a couple of people who were cool and had some lessons. Thursday was pretty calm, Friday was as well because it was a Friday around here and we had our ward Christmas party then, but before that we did have a lesson with our friend Christian and gave him a baptismal date and had a good lesson. After that we went to the Christmas party with him and so that was good.  On Saturday we made a ton of phone calls and found some more people we found this couple knocking doors who are really nice w...

I love those j-i-n-g-l-e bells

Goood morning. How the heck are we all doing today? I thought this week was worthy enough to write a letter so here we are once again.  This week did have plenty variety though. Starting on Monday evening we had another lesson with the family were teaching and we taught 2 more of their children as well. It was a good lesson with the whole family. The next day we had a lot of stuff going on like interviews with the president and other meetings. But we did have one lesson with someone we just found.  Wednesday our whole afternoon and evening was taken up because we were asked to drive to Big Lake, a small town south of Midland, and help as part of a Christmas event the town does down there. There were a lot of people there and we handed out cards and flyers for light the world and told people about it. It was kind of neat but that was nearly the whole day.  The day after we had exchanges again. It was kind of interesting. The afternoon was pretty normal, and in the evening ...

Shenanigans

Good morning, happy holidays. It's good to see you all today and write another email. We've had plenty happen this week so may as well write a small letter about it. We had a few lessons on Monday. We taught this nice family there's the mom and the dad and their kid and they're pretty nice people we just started teaching them. We also had a lesson with like 6 guys in this little home, they are all childhood friends from Mexico here for work, and they invited us in and fed us some dinner they were really nice and we taught them all a lesson and gave them some Book of Mormons. Tuesday was kinda full of meetings we had district council and exchanges and then correlation and English class so that day was pretty packed, but then the next day we had a lesson with our friend Christian (I believe he was mentioned last week) but we had a real good lesson we taught him about the Plan of Salvation and as we were leaving we were talking with him and he said he’s gonna get baptized ...
