We Moved

Good afternoon, on my fifth week of MTC here, I'll probably be flying out in just about two weeks. Ive been on a mission for over a month now, this is like day thirty three or something it's kinda weird cuz it doesn't really feel like it but I guess 23 more months to go if were counting. So last week was pretty good I suppose the days just kinda mesh together but I'll try and do my best to recall what happened in the past week.  On Thursday we went to the temple which was pretty nice cuz we were there for most of the evening so That was nice. But let me tell you somethin about the driving in Mexico. I swear the laws of physics don't work on the roads here there has to be some forcefield barrier around all the cars that prevents them from getting in car accidents multiple times a day like I swear traffic is just broken but it somehow works I don't understand you can be like within an inch of another bus and not even be worried about it like I don't understand...

Let me tell you

Good afternoon, Happy thanksgiving everyone, I have just finished watching a devotional broadcasted from the provo MTC from Elder Rasband for this very holiday. And apparently they will have a turkey lunch so just throw in a football and it'll be just like home.  Anyway I suppose I'll give a rundown of the week cuz that kinda seems like what these missionary emails end up being. On Thursday after P-day ended, we went to do a little service project. The project was just going to the cafeteria and helping clean up after dinner, but it was pretty good. My job was to take out all the trashes to the back and throw them away. The problem was that I didn't know where to put them I was looking for some dumpster to throw them but there wasn't one out there, so after like five minutes of looking, I realized that there was just this trailer bed I was supposed to put them into so that was nice to find especially cuz the trash bag was super heavy. After the service project, we we...

My Disappointment Is Immeasurable and My Day Is Ruined

Allow me to explain the title for this e-mail. Sometimes, back home, I heard that they served Costco pizza in the Mexico MTC, so when I got here on day one, they said it was pizza night and naturally I got pretty excited. But no. I get to the cafeteria and there a bunch of Little Caesar’s boxes where they're dishing out the food. I mean it wasn't “that” bad, probably the same as it is in Utah but it sure ain't the heavenly stuff they have at Costco. And come to think of it the food is quite underwhelming in general. The fruit isn't as good as I thought it would be (besides the grapes) and most of the stuff is all kinda bland and just a small step up from cafeteria food. The green salsa is good though and they sometimes have these good yogurt drinks in the morning which are the highlight of my breakfast.  On Monday we went to the temple which was quite a nice experience and it was cool do drive through part of Mexico city to get there. The temple is usually closed on Mon...

First email

First week in the Mexico MTC. It feels like a long time since Tuesday morning when I left home already. The flight to Mexico was pretty long and then we were at the Mexico airport for a long time cuz we had to go through the customs and then wait for the other missionaries to all get to the spot to meet the people to take us to the MTC.  The bus ride here was super cool Mexico city is very crowded and driving is super chaotic. The ride took just under an hour I think till we got here. They introduced us to the CCM and gave us our house number and room key. The next day was also being introduced to the MTC and starting our first in person classes.  The next few days were all kinda similar with gospel and language classes and they’ve all been pretty busy. The devotion from Elder Bednar was pretty cool though. Today they gave us just the end of the day for a partial P day at the end of the day Anyway that's probably all for right now my P day will usually be on Thur...
