Good morning,
Its been a decently cold week over here in New Mexico. We got a few dustings of snow on Thursday and Friday morning which was pretty neat considering I didn't think I would see any snowfall in my mission.
This week was a little bit slower than last week. On Tuesday morning we had our district council meeting and talked about what's going on in the areas and after that we went knocking on doors and the people either didn't answer their doors or they weren't interested so pretty typical time there. The next day my companion was a little sick, so we didn't do much that day.
We went on exchanges Thursday morning with the fort Sumner Elders and I went up to their area. Fort Sumner is a small little village with like not even a thousand people and it's like an hour from Clovis. It's a neat little place. The church building we have there Is just a house that was converted Into a church building. The upper floor is the chapel and the branch presidents office and the Lower floor has a small primary room and little kitchen in it. Its quite small for a church building but it is pretty cool. Most of the plans the elders had fell through for that day so we called the people who were interested in being taught and we went to a few houses and knocked on their doors. We didn't find anyone and I'm sure every person's house has been visited by elders multiple times by now.
We also spent Friday in the Fort and we did some service for this family and visited a few people. Fort Sumner is a neat little place but I for sure would not want to be transferred down there. The missionary work is slow in Clovis but it is much better than over there.
We went to a baptism Saturday morning by someone the first ward elders were teaching and it went nicely. In the afternoon we went over to Sister Pews house to do service and we were laying down floor boards in the master bedroom. We were there for a pretty long time and we did get like half the room done. She got us pizza halfway through for dinner which was quite nice of her. On Sunday we finally met with just the Spanish branch in the morning. We visited someone with our branch president and it went very well. Well come back this evening to do service at her house.
This wasn't the most interesting letter I've ever written so I apologize if you are still here. Hopefully this next week will pick up some more. Anyway see you later.
Bye
