Good morning ladies and gentlemen. Happy 26th of February I suppose. I guess if I can recount the slightly more notable events of the week (not that any event is particularly notable) I'll proceed to do so.
At the beginning of this week we drove over to Lubbock for a zone p-day and then zone conference the next day. It was neat to be over there definitely the highlight of the trip was the food from Costco referenced to in the subject of the email. I've been going through Costco pizza withdrawals sense leaving home especially because of the frightening disappointment experienced in Mexico so naturally the slice was ever more rewarding. Also I feel privileged because the Lubbock Costco is the only location in the mission. After lunch we spent the rest of the day in Lubbock and stayed at the zone leaders apartment because we needed to be at zone conference the following morning.
Zone conference was just a long meeting to be expected which went until decently far into the afternoon and we had interviews after so that ended up taking the whole day. I had the privilege of driving us back to Clovis (we carpooled with another companionship) and it was a neat drive.
On Wednesday we did some service in the morning and had a long lesson just before dinner with someone we teach. After our dinner we had english class and then had a small lesson with some folks. The next day was regular without too many details to remark on.
Friday was a neat day. We usually do service at retirement ranch in the mornings but the fort Sumner Elders invited us to help Bob Jack one of the members in their branch and he owns a huge ranch over there and he needed some help around the place so we went over there to do some service and gave him a little company up at his place. I felt honored to help prepare lunch that we had also. We had some steaks and potatoes and beans and it was all good. He also let us explore the ranch a little bit and it's a neat place.
Saturday was not quite as eventful we played ultimate Frisbee with members in the morning and went over to Sister Pews in the evening to have dinner and lay down some boards in the living room. After that we went over do David George and Eduardo the folks mentioned on Wednesday and had kind of a chaotic lesson because they were outside having a campfire with one of their neighborhoods and be had super loud music playing and he had a few drinks in him so there were a couple distractions in the lesson but we invited them to church and they said they would be there.
Church on Sunday was good. In the morning one of the folks we’ve been trying to get to church texted and said he would be there also so in total we had 7 new people at church so massive w there it was the 3 we talked to on Saturday and then we had a man and his wife and their 2 small children we haven't had any investigators to church since I've been here so It was epic. The members were all really good and talked to them and 3 of the 7 stayed for 2nd hour and it went really well.
Anyway I'll end the letter there but there's a bit into the life of a Spanish missionary in Clovis New, Mexico not the most insane deal but it's what It is. We'll see if this week has anything more eventful the transfer is almost done and then it'll be me leading the area so gulp anyway that's all I have to say so bye.
