Good Morning Ladies and Gentlemen

Monday again

At the beginning of the week we were on companion exchanges with the 1st ward elders and this time I was left in the Spanish area but good thing we found plenty of things that we could both do. I made hamburgers on Tuesday for dinner also. That evening the other elders visited this old man for a while but we will get to that later.

In the morning on Wednesday we had apartment checks I didn't really know those were a thing but two of the seniors just came over and told us what's not clean enough about the place. We also did our service in that day and had a dinner on the air base.

On Thursday we helped at the food bank I like going there we just bring food to people's cars for a few hours but it's a good thing the folks that help out and work there are pretty nice and stuff. We had a pretty normal day that day I'd say wow that rhymed.

Friday morning was a little bit more eventful. In the morning we went to retirement ranch and had Bible study there. Both times we've hosted it for the full hour it's gone really well. We read from Daniel 3 and John 21 and played a few songs from the tabernacle choir and the folks over there enjoyed it I think. We had our normal day and went to dinner with the PeƱas as usual for Friday's with the first elders. After the dinner my companion and the Elder who he was on exchanges with told me and his companion to visit Harold who happened to be the old dude who they talked with earlier so we were like alright we had a tiny exchange again and went over there.

Man talk about pure agony we got there and he talked at the same speed the whole time ranging anywhere between 1 and 5 seconds between his words he talked for so long about all the people he has healed and how many people he had brought to christ the number started in the 4 or 5 hundreds but then it increased to a couple thousand towards the end. Anyway we had been there for like 2 hours keep in mind we were Standing in front of him in his chair in the living room the whole time and both of us are new somewhat inexperienced missionaries and we didn't really know how to interrupt him and say we're getting out of here so we're just standing in front of him listening to him talk for 2 hours and finally he stops taking so I'm like ok I'll give him a book of Mormon so this wasn't all for nothing but that just triggered another 30 minutes of him rambling on about the same stuff he had been talking about the whole time and we both kind of lost our sanity by the end but we finally got out of there. My goodness that was a long paragraph imagine some dude who talks very slowly reading that to you like 30 times. That's Harold for you.

Anyway I'll continue.

Saturday we ran by a few folks and did our regular service at Sister Pews house who makes the best soup I'm not of the opinion that soup should be a main dish but with that said it was quite good. We also had a fire at one of the members house (in a fireplace).

On Sunday we had an interesting lesson. Just before dinner we visited someone and invited our branch president to come with us. The dudes named Luis and we've been teaching him for a little while and the man is a faithful catholic but he let's us come over and talk about our beliefs. We were finishing up with talking about the plan salvation and stuff and our branch president showed up and we were just about to end and we all bore our testimonies of the book of Mormon and after I finished talking he just kinda goes off about how Mormon isn't in the Bible and how the books don't agree and stuff and him and president were going back n forth and it wasn't a normal bash it was kinda respectful but also Luis was yelling at one point but we ended on a good note and we'll come back there at some time.

Dang the letter was a little long today. Hopefully you're still awake if your still here.

Anyway see you next week.

Good bye

It is well

Goood morning gentlemen and ladies. I suppose a letter is due seeing that this is in fact my last week in the mission field. It's been pretty awesome being out here and definitely the best decision I ever made up until now—is serving a mission. I don't really got too many profound spiritual things to say here so might as well give a little recap.  It's been really great being here in Hobbs and all the other areas meeting all the people specifically the Spanish ones. This last week we met with lots of cool people and taught them. On Monday we met with our friend Mario who's on baptismal date and he's doing well. We talked about the plan of salvation and he said an epic prayer at the end. We also met with 2 other people were teaching who are doing really well and we talked with them about baptism. Tuesday was also good we had a lesson in the afternoon and then English class and some other lessons and stuff On Wednesday we had an exchange with the other elders here in ...
