I hit my companion with the car and then drove off

Good morning folks. Welcome back to the semi weekly email. These past two or so weeks were mildly interesting so I'll try and tell you the main details.

The Saturday just after transfers happened something kind of cool happened. We were knocking on doors in this trailer park type neighborhood that one of our folks lives in and we had like 10 minutes before our last appointment so we were just like oh well knock like 2 more doors and the last one we went to some dude opened his door and was like "hey elders" and it kinda took us by surprise and we started talking to him and it turns out he was just a really inactive member but the cool thing was that he pulled out a full use temple recommend that was from the year 2000 and he kept it all this time. He said he was ready to come back to church and we were able to get his membership record from the expired temple recommend he had all this time. We came back with our branch president and he gave him a blessing and it was all pretty neat. Also he came to church yesterday and that was pretty sick.

We went on exchanges at the beginning of last week I went to the fort again and we made kind of fancy ramen that took way too long and was not worth it.

On Wednesday night we finally had a good lesson with someone who we've been trying to meet with for so long and it went well. Also just after was the event referenced to in the title. We were in a neighborhood with dirt roads and a bunch of dogs running around in the street. One of the dogs was this big white dog who booked it for the car and nearly ran under the tire before I slammed the breaks and skid a foot or so. The dog was chilling right by the car for absolutely no good reason so my companion gets out to scare it away while I drove off. I had one objective in that moment and that was to drive forward. So I start driving just a little before my companion clears the front of the car so I guess I kinda bumped him while I took off and proceeded to drive probably a quarter mile to get away from the dang dog and kinda forgot about my companion as I was driving until I was like ok that's probably far enough and waited for him to sprint back to the car. The objective was completed in the end to get away from the dog so I saw it as a win.

On Thursday we spoke to this dude who also is an inactive member and he committed to start coming back and reading the scriptures.

We did the full hour of Bible study at retirement ranch again on Friday we read from Luke 10 and Luke like 21 or something. That evening we had an hour long lesson with a dude who has a cool story about his experience with religion and said he would check out our church cuz he liked what we taught. Also unfortunate that he wasn't able to come to church.

We met with our buddies David, George and Eduardo on Saturday and they said they'd be at church the next day. The unfortunate thing on Sunday was that none of these people actually showed up to church except the dude mentioned at the start of the email. We finished off the day with regular missionary work.

So yeah that was kind of some of the events of the week. I hope it wasn't to long for you but anyway I'll see you next week adios.

The Wild East

Goood morning how are all of us today? Here we are again another week to write another letter. This week was somewhat eventful so here's a brief explanation for some of the events.  On Monday evening some other missionaries came into town to a mini exchange here in Hobbs but we were both working in our area. We knocked doors the whole evening and met some interesting people. On Thursday we had a couple more lessons which was good. It is well

Goood morning gentlemen and ladies. I suppose a letter is due seeing that this is in fact my last week in the mission field. It's been pretty awesome being out here and definitely the best decision I ever made up until now—is serving a mission. I don't really got too many profound spiritual things to say here so might as well give a little recap.  It's been really great being here in Hobbs and all the other areas meeting all the people specifically the Spanish ones. This last week we met with lots of cool people and taught them. On Monday we met with our friend Mario who's on baptismal date and he's doing well. We talked about the plan of salvation and he said an epic prayer at the end. We also met with 2 other people were teaching who are doing really well and we talked with them about baptism. Tuesday was also good we had a lesson in the afternoon and then English class and some other lessons and stuff On Wednesday we had an exchange with the other elders here in ...
