Texas is my absolute favorite state in the country its not even close man I love Texas so much its crazy how much I want to live here for the rest of my life

Today is zone p-day in Lubbock and let me make it clear to all of you that I do not think it's worth it to drive 2 hours from Clovis to a random church building in Lubbock unless zone conference is the next day.

Anyway good morning.

This week was a somewhat normal week. We had zone conference at the beginning of the week so you know, yay, we get to drive back again this week🥳 super exiting. But on the good side we did get a truck last week. They has us switch in our Rouge for a Frontier so thats pretty awesome. I've never driven a truck before really so it's cool to be able to now. That with interviews after basically took up the whole day.

The next day was Wednesday as per usual. The first part of the day we just tried to knock on the doors of our people. We weren't having much success so we went to ice cream club and that fixed it. After that we had two good lessons and we taught the restoration in both. One of them we taught a couple and it went really well. We had a dinner with one of our members and then had two more lessons. One of them was with a dude who is really committed to reading the book of Mormon and changing his life which is sick. His name is Juan (kinda like half the people we teach). After that we had a lesson with David and George and like all lessons with them it went really good. We invited them to read the scriptures every day.

Thursday was a bit more normal, we had two lessons. One of them went really well with another couple we taught the restoration to them and they were actually understanding and retaining everything we said. Those guys are really good potential. The other lesson was meh. We also had some guy say our prophets were false in a gas station that's always fun.

Friday we went to retirement ranch in the morning to help with Bible study but instead there was this dude singing songs and playing his guitar that we watched. It was a good break in my opinion. That evening we went to Texaco, this town like 10 minutes from Clovis and we knocked on a door and some lady drives into the driveway of this random house and says she's a member and wants to come back and gave us her number and address and then drove off. It was pretty interesting.

Saturday none of our lessons went very well it was kinda funny. We had a lesson with Juan the bro mentioned earlier. He had already read 15 chapters in the book of Mormon which was really cool but he's also Cuban and super hard to understand, so we were both mad struggling to answer his questions. We also tried to have a lesson with George and Eduardo but they were having a fire with this drunk dude named Isaiah and it just did not work out. We tried sharing a scripture and a thought but Isaiah was just rambling the entire time on who knows what so it was not good. The worst part is we had a member participating there and he did not need to be there. We felt bad.

Sunday we had church in Portales and had another lesson with one of the couples were teaching it went well. We also had dinner at the Whalen’s again and that was really good as usual.

Ok that's the week sorry if this email just kinda seems like I ranted about the week the whole time—thats just sometimes how it goes. Maybe the next week will be more tame. Anyway see you.

It is well

Goood morning gentlemen and ladies. I suppose a letter is due seeing that this is in fact my last week in the mission field. It's been pretty awesome being out here and definitely the best decision I ever made up until now—is serving a mission. I don't really got too many profound spiritual things to say here so might as well give a little recap.  It's been really great being here in Hobbs and all the other areas meeting all the people specifically the Spanish ones. This last week we met with lots of cool people and taught them. On Monday we met with our friend Mario who's on baptismal date and he's doing well. We talked about the plan of salvation and he said an epic prayer at the end. We also met with 2 other people were teaching who are doing really well and we talked with them about baptism. Tuesday was also good we had a lesson in the afternoon and then English class and some other lessons and stuff On Wednesday we had an exchange with the other elders here in ...
