Have you seen the little piggies?

Guess it's that time of month again

Good morning folks welcome to another electronic message from Eder Joseph Rivera who, with much controversy, has decided to extend his contract to live in the City of Dalhart for another 6 weeks.

So the week. Lessons. Lots of folks. Exciting stuff. We had a few on Tuesday—pretty chill stuff, same with Wednesday when we had a real long lesson with an older lady named Kathy who we’re teaching and we gave her a big Book of Mormon to read. We have lessons with her every Wednesday.

The next day, Thursday, was an American holiday and our branch president and his wife had us over for lunch and to do service for them. He also has a bunch of guitars (none of them bass (its ok)) and he played some of them for us. The plan was to show us around the farm and then help out in the yard moving tree branches and helping with other tasks. We saw a place with a whole bunch of small pigs waiting to be shipped out to somewhere else in the country (kinda like a mission transfer site). After he showed us one of the fields, we drove back to their place when we got back we saw their dog chilling on the side of the driveway and it's on its side…and it's dead. After 8 years of being there it just decided to check out of life on the 4th of ?July. We helped bury it and that was about all the service we did.

The day after we knocked a whole bunch of people's doors had a few lessons we then went back out to Clayton, that town’s not very good. We knocked more doors over there, not many lessons. On Saturday we did service in the morning and dragged goats from one part of the place to another with them screaming the whole time. We then had a lesson with a quiche woman, lost her to the jws. We had a few more lessons talked to some dude we know, Michael super energetic dude happy to see us. He was just working out to some gospel music so we didn't bother him too much, said a prayer with him and left him on his way.

Yesterday was church. We had branch council with the Stake Presidency and had a good church service after. We endured through the afternoon with teaching and all that stuff then had dinner with our branch president again. We read come follow me again then drove back. When we got back some lessons fell through but there was this part of the street that we knocked and we found a few people and had lessons with them it was awesome. It wasn't a long street but it was great.

Anyway that's about the week, sorry if the most interesting part was a deceased dog. I'm sure next week will be more juicy but this is what we'll have to settle for this week. Take care bye 👋

We knocked doors the whole evening and met some interesting people. Tuesday was pretty normal, we had district council then did our singing service then later in the day we went and did English class. On Thursday we had a couple more lessons which was good. It is well

Goood morning gentlemen and ladies. I suppose a letter is due seeing that this is in fact my last week in the mission field. It's been pretty awesome being out here and definitely the best decision I ever made up until now—is serving a mission. I don't really got too many profound spiritual things to say here so might as well give a little recap.  It's been really great being here in Hobbs and all the other areas meeting all the people specifically the Spanish ones. This last week we met with lots of cool people and taught them. On Monday we met with our friend Mario who's on baptismal date and he's doing well. We talked about the plan of salvation and he said an epic prayer at the end. We also met with 2 other people were teaching who are doing really well and we talked with them about baptism. Tuesday was also good we had a lesson in the afternoon and then English class and some other lessons and stuff On Wednesday we had an exchange with the other elders here in ...
