Good morning folks once again, welcome back to an email that is for some reason being written weekly again…don’t ask me why but here we are. This week was cool enough we had Zone Conference and Stake Conference on the same week! Can you believe that? And so life goes as a missionary when that's the most exiting thing to write about for the whole week.
We had another exchange with the elders in Perryton at the start of this last week if that's notable enough to write down. We had some lessons in the afternoon and then after dinner we did some service for one of our members and helped her with her yard. Wednesday was similar we had two lessons in the afternoon one of them was In Spanish the other was in English and then we helped our member again finish up with her lawn.
Thursday was Zone Conference so we went down to Amarillo to be taught by the young and old mission leaders and then we had interviews and then came back home to teach our English class. We had another person come and he said he'd bring more people so soon enough we'll have a full class. After that we had a lesson in Spanish.
The day after was Friday. we went and knocked a bunch and found a few people who speak Spanish and then had a lesson with our friend Ulysses and it was good were trying to teach is whole fam. The next day was Saturday so we went out to Clayton and had a lesson with someone who put in a referral to meet with missionaries but he was already a member who hadn't gotten his records moved over. He got baptized in like 2010 and then moved around and moved to Clayton where we don't have a church building. But he told us about his story of finding the church and all that it was all pretty neat good conversation for sure. The best part was we didn't have to go around the rest of that dang down for very long. After that we drove back to Dalhart to put on Stake Conference at the church for the Saturday evening session it was good.
Sunday we went back over to do the same thing for the morning session. None of our members came to watch it at the church but funny enough two different families passing through the town came to church—too bad it was for Stake Conference and not a regular meeting. In the afternoon we had a long lesson and then set up to meet with people in the evening. After dinner we had 2 really good lessons. They were both in Spanish the first one was with our friend Isai and he's really open to what the truth is, just doesn't know, so we read from the Book of Mormon with him and talked about prayer and the Holy Ghost it went well we're excited to see how that goes. After the lesson we walked a few houses town to our friends they're two brothers from Guatemala, Javier and Marvin, I may have mentioned them in the past but they're really cool and we had another lesson about faith and it was also good…definitely a good way to end the day.
And yeah that's the week nothin’ too exiting but oh well. Transfers are next week so we'll find out the deal and maybe there's something more interesting to write on but any way see you later.
Yours truly elder Joseph a Rivera of the TLM
