Morning Morning, how are all of us today? Things have changed a little bit since my last email as I have moved areas, unfortunately, I no longer reside in Dalhart I’m a couple hours further south in Midland, TX. It's a little hotter around here and the town is also a bit bigger. Also there are a heck-ton of oil pump things around here that the town often smells of oil and the water doesn’t taste very good.

So transfers happened this Wednesday, we headed up from Dalhart real early in the morning and basically traveled the whole day. In Lubbock there was this trainer-trainee orientation meeting that I went to and met both my companions. This is my first trio I’ve been in it’s interesting. One companion just started (he’s actually waiting on a visa to go to Peru) and the other ones got 23 months under his belt. We left from Lubbock to midland probably around 3 or so and got there a little while later. Mostly that whole day we just got settled in the place and went shopping.

Thursday was our first actual day in the area and we did lots of planning and studying and making calls. Also we drove around visiting people—the only thing is to drive across town it takes like 20 minutes so you can’t make rapid fire stop byes as much cuz so much driving but after that for a while we had dinner with a member. It’s pretty nice here we get fed dinner every day pretty much, but after that we went and did English class. There are two English classes per week Tuesday and Thursday and it’s taught by a member I guess so we only just have to help the students by talking to them in English.

On Friday morning we went and helped out at a food bank. I like this one more that the one in Clovis cuz it’s a big line of packaging stuff in boxes and stacking them up and you were busy moving the whole time. After that we went back home and had a whole bunch more studying and planning but after that we had a lesson with someone who’s preparing for a mission and then a lesson with someone we teach with that member mentioned in the lesson. After that we played volleyball with them.

There was a baptism on Saturday morning who we brought our friend who we had a lesson with on Friday to. We thought was a convert adult baptism but it turns out it was just and 8 year old and there were a ton of loud kids there and it was not what we were expecting but it was alright. After lunch we had a lesson at a laundromat (don’t worry we have a washer and dryer in our apartment) with another person were teaching. After that we drove around the outside of town and visited some people there. Most of the people we teach are online referrals from the Facebook church ads requesting a missionary visit so folks are all over the place. After dinner we made a bunch more calls cuz a lot of the referrals don’t have addresses they’ll just say Midland for the address.

Yesterday was Sunday. We had church at 9 am and we have a Spanish ward here which is cool there were like over 50 people there yesterday. The new missionaries to the area went and shared their testimonies and there were a few talks in sacrament meeting then in 2nd hour we were with the youth talking about missions. After church we had ward council and it was loong. In the evening we went knocked doors in this apartment complex it's the first time we’ve tracted in the new transfer.

And that is partial week in the new area. Sorry about the somewhat meaningless details included but yeah the area is a bit different and it's an interesting change of pace for sure but yeah until next week I suppose maybe

It is well

Goood morning gentlemen and ladies. I suppose a letter is due seeing that this is in fact my last week in the mission field. It's been pretty awesome being out here and definitely the best decision I ever made up until now—is serving a mission. I don't really got too many profound spiritual things to say here so might as well give a little recap.  It's been really great being here in Hobbs and all the other areas meeting all the people specifically the Spanish ones. This last week we met with lots of cool people and taught them. On Monday we met with our friend Mario who's on baptismal date and he's doing well. We talked about the plan of salvation and he said an epic prayer at the end. We also met with 2 other people were teaching who are doing really well and we talked with them about baptism. Tuesday was also good we had a lesson in the afternoon and then English class and some other lessons and stuff On Wednesday we had an exchange with the other elders here in ...
