I love those j-i-n-g-l-e bells

Goood morning. How the heck are we all doing today? I thought this week was worthy enough to write a letter so here we are once again.

This week did have plenty variety though. Starting on Monday evening we had another lesson with the family were teaching and we taught 2 more of their children as well. It was a good lesson with the whole family. The next day we had a lot of stuff going on like interviews with the president and other meetings. But we did have one lesson with someone we just found.

Wednesday our whole afternoon and evening was taken up because we were asked to drive to Big Lake, a small town south of Midland, and help as part of a Christmas event the town does down there. There were a lot of people there and we handed out cards and flyers for light the world and told people about it. It was kind of neat but that was nearly the whole day.

The day after we had exchanges again. It was kind of interesting. The afternoon was pretty normal, and in the evening we went to have another lesson with the guys all living together for work. We taught them for like 25 minutes and it was an ok lesson they were kinda busy getting home and making food but we finished up after a while and said bye and left. But after we had already gotten into the car to leave one of the guys knocked on the window of the car and said come eat so we were like, “well I guess we're going back in and eating”. They told us to serve ourselves big plates of beans and potatoes and eggs they had made we weren't even particularly hungry at this point because we had just eaten dinner like an hour before but we were there for probably another 30 minutes at least doing our very best to get all the food down and then after we finished our plates they gave us cookies so we were very filled. Later that evening when we were driving back we saw some Christmas lights put up in the middle of downtown and there were tons of lights and decorations and a huge tree that was pretty cool.

Friday was a pretty standard Friday. In the evening we had a lesson with our friend Christian with one of our members who was really good to have in that lesson. He shared a lot about his story of joining the church and we talked a lot about baptism. We didn't give him a date so we could let him cook a little more but he's really close and it's cool.

On Saturday we had a big service project in the morning. This bed building organization came to the church building and a bunch of volunteers came and build a bunch of bed frames to give away. It was a fun project and it took up most of the morning. The rest of the day was more calm mostly inviting people to church and stuff.

On Sunday morning at church I played the piano for a musical number a sister did who's leaving on her mission in a few weeks and it was a good church meeting. In the evening we went to the other church building to hand out programs for a musical event that was taking place there. It was an event with people from a few different churches doing the Handel's Messiah concert. They sounded really good actually there was a choir and a small Orchestra and everything. After that we went and had 2 lessons, one was in person with someone we just found last week, and another was over the phone with someone we've been teaching for a long time. The evening ended up being pretty good.

And there's about a summary for the week friends. I didn't think the email would be this long but it's all done now. The end of this week we receive transfer news so well have to see what's gonna happen. I guess until then I will see you later.

It is well

Goood morning gentlemen and ladies. I suppose a letter is due seeing that this is in fact my last week in the mission field. It's been pretty awesome being out here and definitely the best decision I ever made up until now—is serving a mission. I don't really got too many profound spiritual things to say here so might as well give a little recap.  It's been really great being here in Hobbs and all the other areas meeting all the people specifically the Spanish ones. This last week we met with lots of cool people and taught them. On Monday we met with our friend Mario who's on baptismal date and he's doing well. We talked about the plan of salvation and he said an epic prayer at the end. We also met with 2 other people were teaching who are doing really well and we talked with them about baptism. Tuesday was also good we had a lesson in the afternoon and then English class and some other lessons and stuff On Wednesday we had an exchange with the other elders here in ...
