The Fish Friday Disaster 🐟

Goood morning—how is it going on this fine Monday morning. This week was somewhat eventful in whole, we found out transfer news as well, I'll be staying here in Hereford thankfully and getting a new companion. So that'll be something that happens this week.

So on with this week, Monday we had p-day with the zone I kinda wanted to die cuz it was hot outside, but that's ok we got back home and had some calls and lessons in the evening a pretty calm night. On Tuesday we had interviews with the mission president in the morning and then we had an exchange with some of the elders in my district and that was good, we went to the Walmart parking lot to try and find people. I don't even know if were supposed to do that but we met a few people who said they were wanting to come to church. Then we had a lesson with someone who had just moved and didn't have an actual address so it took like an hour driving around town trying to understand the instructions she gave in Spanish but then we finally got there and had a really good lesson so it was all worth itπŸ‘.

Then on Wednesday we had a pretty normal day. We had a lesson at the church in Spanish and in the evening some other elders came down and did the baptismal interview for Roque so that went all good. On Thursday we got some stuff planned for the program and we had a phone call lesson with one of our referrals that went really well—she said she was wanting to get baptized for years and now here we are.

On Friday we had a very windy day I think it ended up being being the highest moving wind that Hereford has ever experienced. We did service in the morning at the senior center dishing out fish for people and like 30 minutes in the power turned off and all the lights went out so we were just serving fish in the dark and had to use phone flashlights and so they ended up closing a little bit early. For most of the day we didn't have power either at our apartment or at the church but we did the contacts we could and for dinner we took refuge in a members house who lives a little outside of town who had power.

On Saturday we had the baptism for Roque which was good. It was all in Spanish and we didn't have someone really to conduct in Spanish so I ended up doing it which is goofy but the service went really well. He had asked that an older member of the branch confirm him and it went very good. Then yesterday we had church it was good, nothing too special though then we had like one lesson and planned and studied and all that but it was all good.

So thats about how the week went this next week is the start of a new transfer so it should be good to have a fresh start on stuff. I guess we will have to see but I wish us all a wonderful next week.πŸ‘‹

It is well

Goood morning gentlemen and ladies. I suppose a letter is due seeing that this is in fact my last week in the mission field. It's been pretty awesome being out here and definitely the best decision I ever made up until now—is serving a mission. I don't really got too many profound spiritual things to say here so might as well give a little recap.  It's been really great being here in Hobbs and all the other areas meeting all the people specifically the Spanish ones. This last week we met with lots of cool people and taught them. On Monday we met with our friend Mario who's on baptismal date and he's doing well. We talked about the plan of salvation and he said an epic prayer at the end. We also met with 2 other people were teaching who are doing really well and we talked with them about baptism. Tuesday was also good we had a lesson in the afternoon and then English class and some other lessons and stuff On Wednesday we had an exchange with the other elders here in ...
